Late Meiji, I believe a famous tea master or figure who is known as the master of the tea ceremoney. Looks to be individually hand formed, and very skillfully at that. 9 inches tall. Has one chip to the front which does not show in these photos. Made of a pottery material which could be easily touched up. The price takes the chip into account- he'd be double or more without it.
