Special 12/13thC Chinese Buddha in the form of a building block. The face is as good as I have seen on this type of Buddha. Has a sensitivity and depth to the face that is found only in great art. I believe is piece is "museum quality." Made of a clay or other clay-like material. I owned this 20 years ago and recently got it back as part of an elaborate trade. Has a professionally made base/wall bracket made by a gentleman who has made such items for the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. Very good size at 11.5" tall, 7" wide and 4.5" at deepest point. Can either sit or be hung. No repairs I can see.
