Welcome to The Buddha Gallery Auctions!

We will conduct periodic live auctions of items or groups of items on our own website. You are now in the auction section of The Buddha Gallery website. This area consists of this welcome page, the Auction Gallery Page, the Auction Terms and Conditions, Auction Registration, and & Contact Us. Auctions will typically consist of 10 to 25 items, but may contain more or less than this number. Auctions will begin in early 2017, and over the first year we will determine the optimal number of auctions per year, but they are likely to be monthly or quarterly.

The auction part of the Buddha Gallery is separate from the rest of the website. You will be able to tell when you are in the auction area, as the pages have a different look to them.

To bid:

  1. Make sure you are registered
  2. Read Auction terms and conditions (different than those for main site)
  3. Look at items in auction-examine photos carefully and read description. Ask any questions in advance of auction, as unlike on regular site, auction items are not returnable for any reason.
  4. Put in highest bid, and we will bid for you (others will never see your highest bid- we will enter your next highest bid if someone outbids you until your highest bid is reached. In the case of a tie, first bid entered wins)
  5. You will receive an email confirming your bid/auto-bid and emails every time you are outbid or bid again and are again high bidder.
  6. You will receive an email at the end of auction notifying you as to whether you were successful or not in winning the item.

  1. Bids must match bidding increments for the price level bidding at (see auction-for example from $10 to $200, bidding must be in $10 increments, over $200 bidding goes to $25 increments, so bidding would go $190, $200, $225, and bids must be put in this way or they will come back as “invalid” )
  2. All items will have a 10% premium added to the winning bid. This will allow us to provide all shipping in-house, and to cover other auction related administrative expenses. Note that the vast majority of auctions, both brick and mortar and on-line, typically charge 15% to 27% premium.
  3. The process of entering bids and determining high bidder, first bidder, and winner is all done electronically by the auction program, and at no time is anyone from The Buddha Gallery involved manually. This provides a level playing field that takes out human bias or human error.
  4. With each bid, change of status (in winning/not highest bid/auction won etc.) a new email will be sent. If an email is not received, or you have any questions during the auction, it is important to email the address sent in one of the auction emails. If you have never received any emails, you are probably not signed up for the auction.
  5. Payment can be made by Paypal, Credit Card, check, (US, certified or international in US dollars), or bank wire. All items over $5000 shall be paid for by bank wire.
