I recently acquired a collection of early Southeast Asian Buddhist amulets and other small Buddhist items, including over 150 items. Among them are 18th and 19th-century Thai or Laos amulets and several authentic 16th to 18th-century miniature Chinese bronze Buddhas. Additionally, there are some larger terra-cotta and metal Buddha tablets. I feel fortunate to have been able to purchase such a significant portion of this collection, and I will be posting all of them over the next couple of months and listing them in upcoming auctions. This one is a Northern Thai ambulate, probably from the 16th to 17th century. I leave it for those with more expertise in Thai amulets to get more specific than this in attribution.
