16-18thC Chinese Miniature Bronze Buddha. This is an authentic Ming (possibly Early Ching) miniature Buddha- most Buddhas that look like this one are from Thailand. Authentic antique Chinese period examples like this one are quite rare. They are the prototypes for the Pra-Ging from Thailand. Size is ( 1.625"H x 1" W x .5" D ) - 30g

I had one closely related Buddha on my website, Number 8241, in the "Sold" section. This one is at least as good as that one; plus, it is still consecrated with something that makes a rattling sound when you shake it. It appears as if it may be the original consecration. This one is also crowned, which is relatively uncommon for this style of Buddha, especially on a miniature.

The face radiates compassion, equanimity, and deep serenity. A piece of this age, quality, and condition, with this superb patina and this level of powerful spiritual energy, is extremely rare. The price is higher than other Buddhas of this very small size, but it is a highly sought-after, exceptional little Buddha.
