19th century Indian Hindu Bronze Bell. A beautifully made Nandi (Cow) sculpture adorns the top of the bell as a handle. This Nandi sculpture is the most crisp and finely sculpted of the group. It is also the largest. It's the bell in the group that initially attracts most people at first. From a collection of Indian bells of this type. All of the bells I saw were in near-perfect shape, with their strikers intact and what appeared to be their original handles connected to the original bell bottoms. I was fortunate to acquire four of them, which I am posting today. Sometimes, you find the statue itself without the bell or the statue with the bell without the clapper but in a very rough shape. To find it complete is a rare thing. ( 9"H x 4"D ) - 1.190kg / 2.62lbs
