This is a Shiva Nataraj, dancing the cosmic dance of simultaneous creation and destruction. It is one of the greatest images in all of Eastern sculpture. It's very hard to find hi quality examples of this image in three-dimensional art as it is so challenging to do it well. Also, so many people are looking for one of these that when one comes along it sells very quickly. This example is 20th century and not large, but the face is exceptionally nice and the price is reasonable. Take a look and see if it speaks to you. Almost 9 inches tall to the top of the highest flame.
