Antique Tibetan Monk- Quality casting- 18thC or earlier. 5.25 inches tall, 6-5/8 inches tall on a custom stand. Very well cast. Came from a very impressive New York collection that was forced to be broken up due to a divorce. I picked up a number of my all-time best pieces from that collection, of which this is the last one in my possession. Was originally attached to a separate base. Worthy of the best auction houses. larger than its height suggests both because of his round proportions, also because of the incredible energy he radiates through his deep concentration.
