This is a delightful sculpture of Jambahala. It is from Nepal, early 20th century. you see numerous Ron's Buddhas and bodhisattvas and Tara statues from this period. Jambahala however, is rarely sculpted in Nepal. virtually all of the sculptures I've ever seen of this God are from China or Tibet or Bhutan or Mongolia. It is well sculpted and cast, as well as very well finished it has some real age to it as can be seen by the nice mellow patina and the soft overall feel to the piece. ( 7"H x 3.5"W x 3"D ) - 1.53lbs.
