9th-11th Century pair of Burmese, Buddhas in an early Mon style with possible Pyu elements. Note the extremely unusual Mudra of one of them (hands under the armpits). They have remains of early lacquer and gilding. Extremely rare to find one of this type (Pre finial- only a "knowledge" bump on the top of the head)- a pair from this early period is almost unheard of. They stand roughly 9 inches tall, which is quite large for such early bronze examples. The total height on their custom stands is 10.5 inches tall. Untouched condition. A (8.5"H x 4"W x 2.25"D) - 2.71lbs // Base: (1.25"H x 5"W) - 335g. // B (9"H x 4"W x 2.5"D) - 3.07g // Base: (1.25"H x 5.25"W) - 365g.
