A large, finely cast Cambodian or Thai bronze Shiva, dating to the 13th–14th century, or possibly a few centuries later, as certain features recall Sukhothai-period Hindu bronzes from Thailand. Traces of original gilding remain, with notable patches preserved on the top of the headdress. This is an unusually substantial and impressive example, particularly rare in this seated form and at this size. With his penetrating gaze, sharply defined beard, and distinctive facial presence, he has a commanding and authoritative character. Shiva holds a conch shell in his right hand, a detail that adds to the sculptural and symbolic interest.
