Early Japanese wooden Figure Deity or other magical character in flow. I don't know what the original Statue looked like, its purpose, or if the incredible amount of wear was intentional, accidental, or simply an artifact of time. Still, the way it has been worn by man or nature has enhanced it in a remarkable way. A look at the face, the flow to the body and the robes, and the overall feeling of the sculpture. The base is a very high-quality modern one. When I first came across it, I thought it was a driftwood sculpture. After looking at it briefly, I realized It was a beautifully worn sculpture of a figure in flow And that it had a fully intact face and body; you just had to look for it. I could say more about this sculpture, but the pictures make the talking better than I possibly could. 8.25"H x 4.25"W x 2.5"D ) - 1.80 lbs. // Base: ( 5.5"W x 2"H )
