15/16thC Thai Bronze Buddha with "Jade Skin" Patina- the most desirable patina of all -like pure green stone made over hundreds of years as the minerals leach out of the metal and create a stone-like surface. Impossible to fake. Rare-found almost exclusively in Northern Thailand. Fine casting and sculpting. Loss of base and part of one leg (often bases were removed from revered Buddhas during times of shortage and used to make other Buddhas) ( 9.5"H x 5.5"W x 3.75"D ) - 3.78 lbs. // Base: ( 7.25"W x 1.5"H ) - 1 lbs.
