18/19thC Tibetan Phurba. This is an extra special example unlike any other I have seen. It almost seems as if the spirits and time and magic have changed the faces so that they each have a ferocity that they did not have when the metal was cast. Take a look at the pictures and you’ll see what I mean. I don’t know how this happened. I’ve seen a similar thing happen with Buddha’s becoming even more joyful in the way they wear, but not as commonly in ritual items. I need to check, but I believe that both this and the other Herba that I just listed are made of iron or at least have iron cores. Check back or check with me if this is important as I am going to change this description once I have a chance to check this out.- ( 7.75"H x 1.5"D ) - 1.30 lbs.
