Javanese solid silver Bodhisattva on bronze base. A classic example of its type. From an old Dutch collection put together in the 1950s through the 1980s. Dates from 9/10thC and was likely part of a large 3-dimensional mandala. This would have been one of several dozen pieces part of the set. Sits on a custom period (9/10thC) stand. Excellent condition Price lowered significantly from the original starting price. One Of the best. ( 2.75"H x 1.5"W x 1.5"D ) - 125g. Base (2.5"W x 1.25"H ) - 65g.
