15/16th century northern Thai Buddha -superb example of its type. This is a special form of Buddha that is from northern Thailand from the 15th/16th century. It has influence from Laos. There are a number of this type of Buddha in the marketplace, but this may be the best smaller example of its type I have ever seen-It has a beautiful base that has an intricate design cast into it. I’ve seen this kind of base before, but never so well executed. The overall Buddha itself is very finally cast and finished, with a glass smooth surface. It is in outstanding condition with no flaws.
