Very special and rare 15-17th Century Tibetan Buddhist monk made of clay. Over the past 35 years of collecting, I have encountered very few Tibetan clay sculptures of this type, and of those, most were not of this caliber. Look closely at the photos, the wonderful face and expressive body and hands, the beautiful surface, which is as rich in color today, as it was hundreds of years ago. The size in person is larger than the dimensions convey. On a table with a dozen high-end Tibetan sculptures, this piece drew everyone's gaze. The condition is very good, with expectable wear and minor abrasions, fading, surface losses, etc, no repair or damage I can see or am aware of. ( 8.5" H x 7" W x 4.25"D ) - 2.46lbs
