Large and very early Arakan Buddha tablet. This is an extremely rare one- the only one of its type I have ever seen. It is also in very deep relief, and has a completely different look than the Pyu or Mon or Khmer types I have offered over the years. As with the Early Mon one recently listed, this is one of the museum level SE Asian Buddha plaques I have owned for 25 years from my personal collection that I am putting up in preparation for retirement. Large at 3.5 x 4.75 inches, and thick for its type. Probably 1000 to 1200 years old. Domestic shipping with careful packing and insurance is included.
