Set of 7 matched early (Pre-Tang- in the range of 1500 Years Old) Chinese Clay/Terracotta Bodhisattvas. (Beautifully) framed size is 11.75" x 6.5. Each figure is approximately 1.75" tall. It is rare to find one of these- almost impossible to find a set of 7 matchings ones in this condition. Likely reclaimed from the Earth during a dig in China in the early to mid 20th century. They look to have been framed together in the 1950s or '60s when such pieces on the market of this quality were mostly authentic and relatively available as compared to now. Each One has good value on its own. A matched set of 7 is unique, and of high value. The frame is high-quality custom, with pieces mounted on hand-loomed Thai silk. You can still see the face nicely on at least one of them.
