13-14thC Burmese Post Pagan/Beginning of Ava Buddha. Very gentle and sweet face. On its custom stand. The head was solid-cast separately and then attached as was often done on early Burmese bronze Buddhas as this type had the head made separately (typically solid cast) and then cast together with the body into one Buddha. Rare type from a period in Burma during which relatively few bronze Buddhas were made-especially of such a good size. Beautiful smooth chocolate brown patina (never buried) and a serene beautiful face. Special!! (7.75"H x 4"W x 2.75"D)-4lbs / Base: 1.75"H x 5.5"W)
