This charming solid cast silver Buddha dates to the 17th to 18th century and is a fine example of Cambodian devotional metalwork in miniature form. The figure is seated in meditation with a gentle, expressive smile and elongated features characteristic of regional style.

What distinguishes this piece is the beautifully incised decoration across the robe, where repeating geometric motifs add visual richness and careful hand detail to the otherwise simple form. The surface shows the soft wear and mellow character expected of an object that has been handled and venerated over centuries.

Despite its small size, the sculpture has a strong presence and personality. The casting is confident and the proportions are pleasing, giving the piece a quiet elegance that is often missing in later examples.

A special and appealing early silver Buddha that combines age, craftsmanship, and devotional character in a compact and collectible form.
