Country Group:
19th to early 20th century Mongolian Buddhist paintings of auspicious symbols. This is for three of what usually came in a set of eight. It was traditional to keep the eight auspicious symbols on the altar. Collected 40 years ago when Mongolia was opening to the west and it was possible to find sets like this. They are part of a group of Mongolian Buddhist Traing cards and small Thangkas I collected in the late 1980s and early 1990s as part of my personal collection. I had thought I had put my entire collection up for sale to the Buddha gallery website and into my recent auctions, but I recently discovered a group of more than 50 items that I had put away for safekeeping and then lost track of - they will now all go up for sale. (The price is for the set of 3. ( 4.125"H x 3.125"W ) x 3
