17 century or earlier Jain bronze figure from India. Extremely high quality classic solid cast in the traditional way. At first I thought this was 9th or 10th century, but after researching it, based on the simple style of the base, that it is could be from as late as the 17th century. The face, body, casting style and quality all compare to the best of this type of Jain sculpture. Heavy for it size. Some expectable wear, but the overall condition is quite good, and the expressive face shines through brightly. ( 5.5"H x 4.5"W x 3"D )- 2.41lbs
