14/15thC or later northern Thai Buddha with remarkable face unlike any other Buddha face you are likely to encounter. I am unsure why it is so distinctive-almost haunting. The piece may be from the ancient kingdom of Fang, whose distinctive 14/15th style century Buddhas have some elements in common with this Buddha, though it stands apart from those as well as all the others. The face has a very distinctive shape to it with may contribute to the unique impact the piece can have. It also has a special charisma that manages to create the mood and feeling that make it hard to look away from his face. It was hard to fully capture the intensity of this feeling in the photographs, but they do give a sense of how unique and compelling this image is.( 9.5"H x 5.5"W x 3.5"D )- 6.37lbs. I think this is probably a period piece, though it is possible this is a 19th century emulation of an earlier style not made to deceive, but created to make the most beautiful Buddha they were able to sculpt.
