12 century style Cambodian Garuda sculpture. Originally may have been a finial or standard that stood atop a pole-possibly asa symbol of the Khmer Empire. Appears to have good age, though unsure if it is a period piece. Very closely related to solid cast bronze example-this one is cast out of a metal alloy I am not familiar with. It is the same size as the bronze examples I have seen, and is roughly the same weight( 11.5"H x 6"W x 2"D )- 6.85lbs - Base: (2.5"H x 5.25"W). A rare and unusual item.
