Purchased from an old Japanese collection, this is a classic Korean bronze Buddha. There are surprisingly few of this type in the marketplace as compared to its Chinese or Japanese counterparts. You can find very small Korean Buddhas or Bodhisattvas of different kinds, but not this kind of historic Buddha in a classic pose. Larger than it appears as it has no base and is so wide and deep as compared to its height. ( 10"H x 7.5"W x 6"D ) 7.68 lbs
