Lotus Buddha, special type of Buddha found in Thailand and Burma. Often has fish or other sea creatures and water related items on the base and sometimes a lotus pedal on the top of the head at this one. They are often considered protective from fire. Some Thai and Burmese people keep them in their home to keep them safe from fire, and sometimes they are kept in a bowl of water. This one looks as if that might have been the case. Very nice face and overall energy. Probably mid 20th century. ( 6.5"H x 5.25"W x 4.75"D ) 2.86 lbs
