Small Chinese bronze medicine Buddha. Probably 19th to early 20th century. This is a particular type of small Chinese Buddha that has something put inside that rattles when it is shaken-I think for good luck. This style is made in a mold, though they are nice quality and are sought after by collectors. There are Buddhas in Thailand that look very similar to this called Pra Ging. Those tend to be smaller, usually don’t have something inside that rattles and have a slightly different look to them. The Chinese examples are more highly sought after. It has very good where from handling and ritual use. ( 2.75"H x 1.375"W x .875"D ) 135g
