This kind of object is outside my area of expertise and I acquired it because it came together with an ancient glass Buddhist object I acquired last year. These are supposedly 1000 years old and come from class formed when a meteorite hit the desert in central Asia, 1000 years ago. I don’t know if this is true, but it does look hand carved with ancient tools. It is superbly sculpted, and finished, and the glass is an unbelievable color. It comes on a very expensive hardwood stand that may be Ebony or some other exotic hardwood. I acquired to related pieces, one had design work on the surface the other was plain. Both had old surfaces with pitting, and no sign of having been made in a mold or having been made with modern tools. I don’t know what else to say about them, but I tried to get the best photos I could. ( 5.5"H x 4"W x 1"D ) 2 lbs
