Very uncommon Buddha- it looks to be a Northern Thai with strong Late Ava Burmese influence. The casting, hands mouth, alloy used, and some other elements are Thai, and the ears, wide sash, and legs are Burmese. The finial is somewhere in between. There were many times that the Burmese made incursions in to Thailand, one of the most notable was when they sacked Ayuthaya in 1767. My feeling is that this piece is from that period. It looks to have had a base which was removed for some reason. Remains of gilding, probably not original. Fascinating piece 5 inches tall.
