Item id: 113

This is an excellent 18/19th, or possibly early Ava style Burmese Buddha on a custom mounted stand. It is a very desirable size of between 11 and 12 inches, 14 and 1/2 inches including the base, The head was reattached at some time. it is very hard to tell in the front . Some wear and minor loss, as is typical. Many of these are either much larger, or are lower quality small ones. This one has the quality of the large ones without being massive. It has much of it's original polychrome. The condition suggests that it probably spent a century or significantly more in a cave. The face has the round baby-like fee and friendly spirit of the best Ava Buddhas. A very decorative Buddha.
