Wonderful Burmese Tribal Buddha. done in a “Jambupati” style of “Royal Attire”. He looks to have elements of Mon style (the Mon people have mostly blended in to other Burmese peoples, but have been a strong cultural and artistic force in Burma for 1500 years). Looks to be 19th to early 20th century. This type is impossible to date with accuracy. This style is also described by some as “Tai Yai). He has large butterfly-like ears and a big beautiful mouth. The over-all shape is pleasing. He sits 11 inches tall. A great example of his type- I've had very few of this quality over the years.
