Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Fantastic early 20th century Nepalese Tara- exquisite casting- looks to be almost pure bronze. Superb, with a palpable presence. Very substantial at 9.25 inches tall by 6.5 inches wide. With her original elaborate separately case base (which the 3 plinths on the bottom would have plugged into) she would have sat roughly 13 inches tall. She weighs an impressive 8+ pounds. Very uncommon in this quality.
