Amazing Durga (I believe). Very fine, crisp casting, with relatively little wear. Powerful sculpting- her stance and expression embody fierceness. Very large at 10 and 5/8 inches tall by 8 and 1/2 inches wide by over 3 inches deep(solid cast. Remember that he has no base- he would stand a good 13 or 14 inches tall if he was set in a traditional one. He leans backward- I currently have him up against the central place on an alter- he would need a base to stand freely. He is extremely heavy at between 9 1/2 and 10 pounds. (World class piece good enough for the best auction house. Comparable pieces sell for more than twice my asking price at the high end Asian Art shows. I’ve shown him to a number of collectors of this type of art- none had ever seen close to an example of this type in this size and quality with so many arms, so much intensity, and such great sculptural quality.
