Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Remarkable and very large 15/16th century copper repousse Tibetan Buddha with much of its original gilding, and very old beads and earrings which have been with him for a very long time (they have etched a lovely pattern in the gilding on his chest over time). Truly museum quality, one of the best I have ever had. Sits between 18 and 19 inches tall by close to 13 inches wide at the knees. The photos tell the story. He is not inexpensive, but my price will be less than half of what you would pay in a reputable brick and mortar shop if you could ever find a comparable one.
