Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Item id: 1357
Uncommonly beautiful Buddha/Bodhisattva. My fist thought was that he was 16th century Mongolian, but the style of the headdress suggests an earlier dating, and a Tibetan origin. Cast of a silver colored bronze: the face is sensitively modeled. The spiritual light shines extremely bright in this figure- as bright as that in world class bronzes. Sits 4 inches tall.
