Extremely fine gilded bronze 16/17thC Bodhisattva - this is of the quality you see in the high end auction catalogues. He has never been fully cleaned- I believe (if desired) that most of the black residue remaining on the surface could be removed to show him in his full golden glory. Look at the photos closely.
