Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
Very fine 17/18thV Tibetan/Mongolian Buddha with no head. Superb casting and gilding. 3+ inches tall. (would have originally been 5+ inches )Probably beheaded by the Russians in the 1920’s when they invaded Mongolia. A great reminder of impermanence.
