A personal favorite- an 18C Burmese Shan bronze “Lotus Buddha” This is a type of Buddha found only in Burma. It is almost always found in wood or lacquer- almost never in bronze. Typically they are considered to protect the home, especially from fire. Often they are put in the center of a bowl of water. This one is unique in bronze in that he has the bottom sealed with a plate with small sea creatures. He has a fantastic face and an incredible spirit.4.5" tall.
