Country Group: The Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia and Other)
This is a powerfully serene and very deeply concentrating 15/16thC Tibetan bronze or copper alloy Buddha. He has wear from 400 to 600 years of devotion, but is quite complete, and is still sealed. He does not have a copper plate on the bottom, but has a leather or thick cloth seal which looks like it has never been broken. There are minor traces of blue pigment in his hair. I don't believe he was ever gilded. An uncommon type. He sits close to 5 inches tall
