Extremely uncommon Thai Sukothai style Hindu deity Shiva- this type was produced for the Brahmen temples in Sukothai in the 14th and 15th centuries during the later phases of the great Sukothai kingdom. An imposing figure. I believe this one is probably a 19thC emulation- not a new copy. Quite large and imposing.
