This is delightful late Pagan bronze Buddha from Burma. It has a remarkably gentle and sweet face. The face was cleaned long ago, but the rest of the piece has most of it's original lacquer and gilding. There is some writing on the front of the base. It has some wear, but is is excellent condition for a piece of this size, with no damage, losses or repairs. It is a very good size for such an early piece at 8 and 1/2 inches tall by 5 and 1/2 inches wide at the base.
