This auction is for an excellent "Jambupati" style early Shan style Burmese Buddha. This flamboyant style is only found in Burma. This one has an excellent patina and nice casting. It is in excellent contrition with no damage or losses (these often have losses or repairs to the crown). One side of the crown is a little curved, but it was done as part of the original casting process. Some of this style are even more elaborate than this one. The simpler ornamentation suggests an earlier date. Stands over 7 in
