This is a very uncommon and authentic 15-17thC Buddha from Northern Thailand. It was found in a temple ruins in the "Hot" district many years ago before the area was flooded to create a reservoir. It is made of an extremely dense yellow glass. Contains a significant amount of gold in the glass- this gives it its weight, yellow color, and patina.
