.This is an authentic 13thC Thai Buddha from the period in Thailand shortly after Khmer domination. The style of crown on this one is distinctive to that period. It was bought many years ago as a 13thC Burmese Pagan piece (it still has a label on the base stating this). The seller had the age right, but probably not the country. In good condition, with one hand and a few fingers from the other one missing: otherwise in complete condition. It has a loop on the back where it was originally attached to something. It stands 7 and 1/4 inches high. 8 and 3/4 inches on the attached base. This Buddha has a very strong presence. It is a highly collectible one with significant value.
