This is an incredibly rare and large Arakan Buddha. It is type of Royal Buddha that is strongly influenced by early Ming Buddhas that were imported into Arakan in the 15th century. The feel, ornamentation, and hand mudra are all different than on the later "Jambupati" Buddhas found in the Shan States of Burma.
