MODEL OF A TEMPLE
10th - 11th Century India
Bronze, 6-1/4 Inches Tall
I had an expert who has written books on Burmese art and who has curated Asian Art in museums to see my collection. He focused in on this piece, and told me that he felt it should be in a museum. He believed that it was a model of the temple at Bodh Gaya. The base is also ancient, but probably did not originally go with the temple.
