Excellent 18/19thC copper.Nepalese Amateyus, Bodhisattva of Long Life. Traces of cold gilt on the face, and blue polychrome on the hair. The arms and the ribbon of the ribbon are separately cast. This is a fine example of Newari casting – the face has the depth and equanimity of great spiritual art. Sits 3 and ¾ inches tall.
