Very distinctive and uncommon Northern Thai standing Buddha. He is well cast, and is sculpted in a wonderful folk type, with large hands and feet. The bronze is a very distinctive blue-green- I've seen this patina only a few times in over 20 years of collecting- I'm not sure which component of the alloy causes this to occur. He is solid-cast, and is very heavy for his size. There are remains of the original black lacquer. There is a word written in early Thai on the base. A special piece!
