This is an extremely unusual lead bronze Buddha plaque. This type of piece is almost always made of terracotta: I've never seen one cast out of metal, let alone one so substantial. It is deeply sculpted, and has a 3 dimensional quality. It stands 4 and 7/8 inches high by 3 and a quarter inches wide by close to 1/2 inch at its deepest. It weighs a whopping 18 ounces. It appears to have been originally lacquered. It comes with a serviceable stand, although it would benefit from a really fine stand. A one of a kind.
